Coconut Grove is a quiet and village-like neighborhood in Miami, FL. It is a small area with about 20,000 people which eliminates the traffic and excessive noise concerns. There are many things to do and places to see in Coconut Grove and if you don’t feel like driving then you can take the Metrobus or even the Miami Metrorail. The Grove is also known for is many open aired cafes and restaurants, satisfying all of the cultural tastes. Shopping can be done at either of the two open air malls: Coco Walk and the Streets of Mayfair. Aside from those two places, there are many other shops and stores in independent locations. The neighborhood is quiet during the week, but on nights and weekends, the street come alive with people wishing to explore the many stores, restaurants, galleries, bars, comedy clubs, and theaters in the area. Coconut Grove is home to every type of entertainment you could ask for and still manages to ensure a peaceful lifestyle.
Coconut Grove has many schools in the area for families with young kids and many family friendly activities for you to enjoy. Aside from not being far from the beach, you can explore the many parks and museums located in the Grove. The Vizcaya museum and Gardens, Miami Science Museum, or the Coconut Grove Playhouse are places to discover. The Grove is bordered by Brickell to the North and Coral Gables to the West. Miami International Airport is nearby which makes traveling quick and easy.
