Coral Gables Real Estate and Neighborhood

Leisurely living all year round

Coral Gables is a city southwest of Downtown Miami in Southern Florida. The city is widely known because it is home to the University of Miami. The University brings jobs and many students adding a young demographic. Because of the University, there are many modes of transportation aside from the usual walk from place to place.  The Metrobus serves the area along with Metrorail, which has a station right across the street from the University of Miami campus. A new hybrid electric trolley is now available to take you around the business and shopping destinations in the city.

The beautiful, pristinely kept landscaping on the university campus follows you throughout Coral Gables. The city is covered by more than 50,000 trees. Because of the beautiful weather and wonderful landscaping, there are many parks and recreation centers to enjoy; golfing, tennis, and facilities for boating. The Venetian Pool is unique in that it is a spring fed with underwater caves. If recreation isn’t your forte, there are plenty of other things to do. The nationally recognized Lowe Art Museum and the Miracle Theatre offer a variety of exhibitions and productions throughout the year. For the shoppers, there is the Miracle Mile and its surrounding blocks that contain many shops and European style outdoor cafes. The Dadeland Mall is also available for those wishing to spend some money. Coral Gables is a stunning place to live apart from the craziness in the rest of Miami.

Coral Gables offers a different lifestyle than the one found in the rest of coastal Miami. With a lack of high rises and beachfront, Coral Gables is more of a village outside of the busy city. This is a place where leisure and a slow paced day are greatly appreciated. The pedestrian friendly city is a pleasant mix of the luxury found in the rest of coastal Miami and the privacy you can only find in owning a home with land and space. Coral Gables is a beautiful city with a unique lifestyle.
